Susan Beckerdite joined the ATS staff in 1994 as an administrative assistant. In 2003, she accepted the position of accrediting coordinator where she supports the work of the Board of Commissioners, including processing of all material prior to and following each Commission meeting. She is responsible for accuracy of institutional accrediting histories and database, and supports the self-study and assessment workshops. Additionally, she supports the work of the directors of Accreditation and Institutional Evaluation.
Prior to coming to ATS, Beckerdite served as placement assistant at Princeton Theological Seminary (Senior Placement Office) and as a junior high teacher in the Sayreville School District.
A New Jersey native, she earned an MEd in business education from the College of New Jersey and a BA in business education from Montclair State University.
In her spare time, Beckerdite volunteers at her church’s food pantry and for Animal Friends, a no-kill animal shelter, where she assists with fundraising activities. She has one adult daughter, two adult step-daughters, and two grandchildren. Beckerdite resides in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, with her husband David.
