Student Personnel Administrators Network 

The Student Personnel Administrators Network (SPAN) includes a variety of persons who are engaged in student services such as recruitment officers, registrars, and deans of students.

SPAN meets annually for a three-day conference. The conferences focus on broad areas of concern, including position nomenclature (student personnel officers hold numerous titles for similar jobs), administrative structures in various sized institutional settings, vocational identity, best practices, and other issues such as spiritual formation and community within the seminary.

Conferences involve plenary presentations and workshops. A steering committee of representative members plans and evaluates the conferences, which are held in locations throughout North America.

By registration. This year’s conference, Growing the future of the church: A student-centered approach to cultivating, nurturing, and harvesting leadership for ministry, will provide a collegial network for support and information sharing for admissions directors, financial aid officials, registrars, and deans of students. Practical how-to workshops complemented by broader presentations common to those who work with students will be the focus.
