The Association provides a range of resources for member schools, researchers in theological education, representatives of the media, and the general public. These resources include instruments to gather data about students’ perceptions of their theological education (through the Entering Student, Graduating Student, and Alumni/ae Questionnaires) and of students’ development and formation as future ministers (through the Profiles of Ministry program). For more information, email Helen Blier or call 412-788-6505, Ext. 248
These instruments provide valuable information for multiple year assessment of your school as well as comparison with other participating ATS member schools through use of the Total School Profile. Schools may also create up to 15 additional questions for their survey batch. The data are useful for institutional assessment, planning, marketing, and recruitment. Many of the reported items relate directly to the standards of the ATS Commission on Accrediting. To learn more about online batch administration, please view the web
tutorials.
The Profiles of Ministry program is designed to help seminary students assess their preferred styles of ministry and ministerial settings. It includes two stages of assessment—Stage I for students in their first year of seminary and Stage II for students preparing to graduate and enter professional ministry.
