Lori Neff joined the staff of The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) as director, accreditation services—a new position designed to work closely with the accrediting staff members who serve as liaisons to member schools—in March 2014. Her primary tasks will include receiving and reviewing administrative documents from member schools, preparing materials for the Board of Commissioners’ review and action, arranging routine school visits in consultation with staff liaisons, maintaining databases for accrediting-related actions, and organizing and expanding the use of electronic resources for the accreditors and Board of Commissioners.
Neff came to ATS from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she served first as associate director of field education, then as director of accreditation and advising, and most recently as dean of student life. An ordained teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA), she was pastor of Pilgrim Covenant Church in New Jersey, parish associate at Community Presbyterian Church of Sand Hills in New Jersey, and a campus ministry consultant and student minister with Trenton Area Campus Ministries. She is a member-at-large of the Presbytery of New Brunswick, and serves as chair of the Pastoral Care and Training Advisory Council for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, New Jersey.
She has written numerous articles and presented for organizations such as the ATS Student Personnel Administrators Network, the Association of Theological Field Educators, the Association of Fraternity Advisors, and the Association of Student Judicial Affairs. Neff earned an MA in college student personnel and higher education administration from Bowling Green State University and her MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary.
