Nancy Merrill, Director, Communications and External Relations

Nancy Merrill joined the staff of The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in 1992, initially as part-time editor of publications. Three years later, she became a full-time staff member and now directs all of the Association's communications with internal and external constituencies. She is responsible for all ATS publications and serves as managing editor of the ATS journal, Theological Education. Her responsibilities include media relations as the spokesperson for the Association.

Before coming to ATS, Merrill worked in public relations for a children's rehabilitation hospital, was the editor of a monthly community magazine, and had her own firm for nine years, specializing in writing, editing, and print production.

She is a graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she earned a BA degree in secondary education with a major in French.

Merrill and her husband, Tim, have two children and reside in Sewickley, PA.
