William R. Myers, Director, Leadership Education and Accreditation
Bill Myers joined the staff of The Association of Theological Schools in 1999 as director, leadership education and accreditation. His responsibilities include planning and facilitating leadership education programs for administrators (presidents, development officers, chief financial officers) and faculty of ATS member schools. He also provides staff support to accreditation visiting committees, schedules and facilitates workshops for self-study directors, as well as members and chairs of visiting accreditation committees.
Prior to ATS, Myers served as academic dean and professor of religious education at Chicago Theological Seminary from 1991 to 1999.
He earned a BA degree from Westminster College, the MDiv degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a master's degree from Rhode Island College, and the EdD from Loyola University of Chicago. He is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The author of five books, Myers has also had articles appear in numerous publications including Theology Today, The Clergy Journal, and the Journal of Pastoral Care.
Married and the father of three, Myers and his wife, Barbara, reside in Sewickley, PA.
