Peter Cha is associate professor of pastoral theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, having served at Trinity since 1997. He previously served as a campus staff member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and as a youth pastor, a church planter, and a senior pastor. Cha is coauthor of Following Jesus without Dishonoring Your Parents: Asian American Discipleship (IVP, 1998) and Growing Healthy Asian American Churches (IVP, 2006). He has also written articles in several scholarly and denominational journals. A member of the Association for Asian American Studies and the American Academy of Religion, Cha was selected to be one of four participants in The Lexington Seminar’s Mentoring Project on Academic Leadership in 2006. He also served as a member of the ATS Committee on Race and Ethnicity (CORE). Cha received his graduate training in theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MDiv and ThM) and received his doctorate in religion in society and personality from Northwestern University.
