Through its faculty grant programs, ATS seeks to (1) develop theological research that serves the needs of theological schools, communities of faith, and the wider society and (2) enhance faculty skill and capacity as theological researchers and scholars. Two programs are offered: the Henry Luce III Fellows in Theology program and the Lilly Theological Research Grants program. Applicants to these programs must be full-time faculty members at ATS accredited and candidate member schools. 

• To verify your institution is an accredited or candidate member school, view your school's web page on our alphabetical index. Your membership status will be listed below your school's name. Faculty members of associate member schools are not eligible for ATS grants.
  
• Full-time faculty status is determined by the following criteria as reported on each school's Annual Report Form: "Any individual working full time for an institution, who has faculty status, and who devotes greater than or equal to 50 percent of his or her time to teaching and or research will be counted by ATS as a full-time faculty member."
