In what ways have you made these plans sustainable over time?
Are the grievance procedures and their results reviewed periodically to determine the speed of the resolution and whether the parties thought it was fair?
Is the training that you have used with faculty and staff also used during student orientation?
Is there adequate support for research, tenure, and promotion?
Are racial/ethnic faculty members with leadership skills sponsored for leadership development programs?

Have the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students been presented with the Diversity Strategic Plan? Have they approved it?
Is there a person(s) responsible for collecting data on racial/ethnic participation and disseminating that information to the community?
Policies and Procedures*
Do the departments routinely assess and report to the CEO and/or the Board what progress has been made regarding race/ethnicity?
Does the CEO make regular reviews of the Diversity Strategic Plan?
Recruitment and Retention*
Has your institution developed working relationships with the colleges, churches and/or local communities in your area?
Are there articulation agreements with institutions that specify what courses will/won’t transfer?
Reframing, Teaching, and Learning
How is faculty encouraged to incorporate new texts into their syllabi?
Are faculty efforts to transform the curriculum rewarded in promotion, tenure, merit pay?
Understanding Race and Ethnicity
Do you have unwritten codes in place that make it hospitable/inhospitable for racial/ethnic faculty, staff, and students to learn/grow?
