The hybrid Communicating during a Crisis event in May 2021 kicked off the creation of an ATS administrator group for communications, marketing, and engagement professionals. Casual roundtable discussion webinars are regularly held for those in this area of work to meet one another, ask questions, and share tips, ideas, and resources.

Marissa Dechant works as the content and communications manager at The Association of Theological Schools. She supports the ATS communications strategy by managing the creation, editing, and distribution of digital content across a variety of platforms. Her work plays a key part in maintaining consistent messaging and engaging audiences—including members, ecology partners, and the public—through newsletters, website content, social media, and other content channels. Dechant joined the ATS staff in 2018 and previously served in the roles of communications coordinator and executive assistant. Prior to ATS, Dechant worked for two news publications as a staff reporter. She received her BS in communications (journalism) from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
