The Technology in Theological Education Group of The Association of Theological Schools seeks the preservation and improvement of the quality of theological education in teaching and learning environments that use communicative media.
The group, founded in 2008, is open to those at ATS schools who are engaged in information technology and online learning strategies. It facilitates interaction and collaboration through its own website, Engage ATS (an online interactive community for those who serve at ATS member schools), and active sharing of resources.
Here are several professional organizations ATS technology administrators have found useful:
Carola Molinares-Risch joined the ATS staff in October 2016. She works on the procurement of hotel contracts for all ATS meetings and acts as a liaison between hotels and ATS. In addition, she supports the work of Women in Leadership, the Committee on Race and Ethnicity, African American, Asian-descent, and Latino(a) presidents and deans, the Economic Challenges Facing Future Ministers project, and global initiatives.
Molinares was a global account director for HPN Global prior to ATS, and brings more than 15 years of management experience in hospitality and meeting planning. A native of Colombia and bilingual in English and Spanish, she earned a degree in business administration and international relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
