As a continuing response to COVID-19, the ATS staff will be working in the office and remotely during this time and can best be reached via email.
The Association of Theological Schools and the ATS Commission on Accrediting are working to provide you with resources and to keep you updated in the midst of the evolving situation related to the Coronavirus. Regarding accreditation matters of Commission schools, we recognize the need for schools to ensure the safety and health of faculty, staff, and students while remaining committed to the quality of their educational missions. The Board of Commissioners is allowing flexibility regarding the use of technologies during comprehensive and focused visits on a temporary basis, and has also granted Commission staff the collective discretion to postpone accreditation visits when appropriate. We continue to encourage schools to be aware of updated information from the Centers for Disease Control, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the World Health Organization as schools participate in the common good by taking the necessary steps to contribute to public health and the safety of those within their schools. As a continuing response to the pandemic, the Association and Commission staff is conducting business both in the office and remotely. If you have questions or concerns related to the business of the Association or of the Commission, please email the appropriate staff person.
ATS will not host in-person, onsite programs or conferences until further notice. Many of the scheduled events will be redesigned as online engagements. This decision was made in the interest of the health and safety of both the member school personnel who attend these gatherings and the ATS staff.
