Description
The Communications & Email Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in crafting and delivering engaging, high-quality communications to support the organization’s outreach, engagement, and programmatic goals. This role combines strong writing and editorial skills with hands-on expertise in email marketing and CRM systems.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional team members. This is a full-time administrative staff position.

Are you passionate about purposeful communication and digital engagement that supports faith-based education and nonprofit impact? The Association of Theological Schools is seeking a Communications and Email Marketing Coordinator to help amplify our mission across theological education and ministry leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Lead email marketing efforts using Constant Contact and other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
- Support strategic outreach to member schools, partners, and stakeholders
- Craft compelling content that reflects our values and vision
- Analyze engagement data to inform and improve communications
- Collaborate across departments to support events, programs, and campaigns
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in nonprofit, ministry, or higher education communication
- Is a strong writer and editor specifically for non-profit or higher ed.
- Understands CRM segmentation and email automation
- Thrives in a collaborative, mission-focused environment
- Demonstrates kindness, professionalism, and respect in all interactions; contributes to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
- Lives in the Pittsburgh area and is open to occasional travel
