Building Resilience to Trauma into Theological Education with Narrative Process Peer Groups

  • Price: FREE

Overview
By registration; Christian leaders are often on the front lines of trauma as they pastor people through life’s hardest moments, yet they often lack resources to help them manage their own grief and trauma responses.

Join us as Kate Davis and Andrea Sielaff from the Center for Transforming Engagement at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology discuss the role of theological education in equipping Christian leaders to respond to trauma. They will share a framework of resilience that incorporates post-traumatic growth research findings. Attendees will be equipped with several research-based best practices and exercises for leading small groups that use story-work to build resilience to trauma.

Supported by a Thriving in Ministry Initiative grant (Lilly Endowment Inc.) and presented to all ATS member schools by the ATS Pathways Coordination Program, this webinar will be recorded for distribution among registrants.
