Project Information

  • Project Title: AmbroseHUBS: Merging discipleship and theological education in camps and congregations
  • Project Description: Ambrose Seminary is partnering with two camps and two congregations to form and shape students who will both serve and lead the church well and ensure its sustainability and effectiveness into the future. The Seminary will deliver theological education directly within Christian camps and then within larger churches over a five-year period. All parties will seek to recruit younger Christian leaders who might not otherwise go to seminary and to adapt curriculum toward the distinctive context their generation brings to pastoral ministry. The Seminary will draw upon insights gained from piloting camp-based theological education to create an analogous experience in local congregations, where attracting committed young leaders is challenging. If successful, this project will help sustain our partner institutions, our sponsoring denominations, and the Seminary itself.
