  • Project Description: Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School seeks to implement a transformative redesign of theological education that addresses the financial and vocational challenges faced by seminaries and congregations alike by: (1) Redesigning the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) curricula to emphasize flexibility, modular learning, and competency-based formation; (2) Developing a three-tiered faculty model that combines full and part-time teaching faculty as well as practitioner-scholars who actively serve in ministry; (3) Launching church- and community-based learning cohorts in partnership with regional congregations; and (4) Upgrading technology and expanding digital access to support hybrid and hyflex learning. By the end of the grant period, Colgate Rochester Crozer anticipates increasing multi-vocational student enrollment by 30%, fully implementing redesigned degree programs, integrating 10–12 teaching and practitioner faculty, and establishing sustainable church-based learning cohorts.
