  • Project Description: Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology will establish an Interactive Media Center to support The Scriptorium Initiative: Preaching and Teaching the Word of God in a Digital Age. Funded by a $1 million Lilly Endowment Pathways for Tomorrow grant, the project strengthens clergy and lay formation through digital preaching, media-rich theological education, and innovative communication tools. The Center will include a professional virtual studio for livestreams, recordings, and programs like The Preacher's Hour and the History of Salvation Bible Study. New courses will embed digital ministry into the curriculum, while clergy and seminarians gain access to a digital library of homiletic and pastoral resources. Serving clergy, seminarians, lay leaders, and the wider faithful, the initiative expands the reach of Orthodox preaching through partnerships with Ancient Faith Radio and the Orthodox Christian Network, reviving the ancient scriptorium for a digital age.
