  • Project Description: The purpose of this grant proposal is to strengthen NBTS's capacity to support pastoral leaders in churches by 1) developing and delivering microcredentials focused on identified skill sets that address congregational needs through just-in-time training and 2) creating asynchronous certificate courses that accommodate the schedules of prospective students, lay leaders, and church members seeking to deepen their theological knowledge and ethical practices thereby 3) helping churches connect in deeper and sustainable ways with their communities. In designing these educational offerings, NBTS will engage faculty, subject matter experts, churches, and community partners (especially organizations with strong connections to diverse communities) to create relevant, accessible content.
