  • Project Description: The Walking in Service Indigenous Ministry Formation Project supports the formation of Indigenous congregational leaders within the Roman Catholic Church in Canada. Rooted in the healing journey that has emerged in the wake of Pope Francis’s 2022 Penitential Pilgrimage, this project affirms reconciliation as a shared spiritual and social task. It builds on four decades of engagement with Indigenous communities and responds to renewed interest among young Indigenous adults in assuming leadership roles in their faith communities.
