  • Project Description: Resourcing Pastoral Leaders in the Southwest equips pastors and ministry leaders with essential skills for faithful and effective service. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is creating sustainable, fully asynchronous certificate programs that provide flexible, high-quality training in spiritual formation, leadership, administration, pastoral care, preaching, and communication. These stackable certificates offer accessible pathways toward further theological study and are supported by enhanced instructional design and media production capacity. The initiative serves pastors in diverse contexts—especially bi-vocational, rural, and early-career leaders along with lay leaders and alumni seeking continued growth. Regional gatherings complement the online coursework, fostering community, spiritual renewal, and long-term engagement. Together, these efforts strengthen churches across the Southwest and build a scalable, sustainable model for ministry-focused education.
