• Project Title: Indigenous Theological Circle
• Project Description: The Indigenous Theological Circle (ITC), housed in Bexley Seabury Seminary, is an ecumenical hub that facilitates the training and mentorship of skillful leaders, ministers, and academic scholars. The dual mission of the Circle is to empower and resource Indigenous mainline congregations to thrive and support indigenizing theological studies. At the heart of all of the ITC's activities is building and maintaining ecumenical relationships of trust that are foundational for developing innovative strategies for training and walking alongside ministers and scholars committed to the flourishing of Indigenous congregations and communities. Our central programs include: Indigenous Scholars Program, Pathways to Ordination Program, Indigenous Christian Leaders Gathering, and the development and distribution of theological and ministerial curriculum and resources to serve Indigenous theological education and ministries. The ITC is led by professors and leaders, positions which we seek to endow.
