  • Project Title: Rowing Together: Leveraging Ministry Ecosystems to Reach, Prepare, and Support Pastors for a Thriving Church
  • Project Description: Covenant Theological Seminary (CTS), the denominational seminary of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), is joining with five other PCA agencies (and one adjacent ministry) to help strengthen our institutional and educational capacities. Our goal is that we might better "row together" in preparing and supporting more pastors into the future, especially as our seminary and denomination face several challenges, the chief of which is a decreasing number of pastoral candidates. Our focus in this grant is therefore on achieving three main goals: to identify and recruit more pastors, to better train and prepare pastors, and to better support those in pastoral leadership.
  • Project Area: Business model innovation | Congregational and denominational collaborations | Institutional restructuring | Non-degree and continuing/lifelong learning | Organizational partnerships and networks | Spiritual direction and student formation | Church vitality and equipping lay leaders | Degrees or accelerated programs | Marketing and recruitment
  • Project Start Date: 25-Dec-01
  • Project End Date: 30-Dec-31
  • Project Amount: $9,991,491
