Project Information

  • Initiative: Large-Scale Collaborative Grant (LSCG)
  • Project Title: The Luther Collective
  • Project Description: The Luther Collective is a network collaborating to accompany and educate Christian leaders for a generous Lutheran witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a hurting world. Through shared experiments that meet leaders where they are, we will discover pathways for leadership development that are contextually responsive and financially sustainable. We will develop a collaborative pedagogy of accompaniment and apprenticeship for adult learners that blends in-person and online learning for degree and non-degree learners that prioritizes local context, collaborative partnership, and sustainability to replace the paradigm of a large, central seminary campus focused primarily on degree programs. We will expand shared services partnerships by developing institutional trust with other academic institutions.
