Project Information

  • Initiative: Large-Scale Collaborative Grant (LSCG)
  • Project Title: Transformative Learning Collaborative
  • Project Description: Congregations are facing growing complexity, greater diversity, more bi-vocational leaders, and rising demands for practical, culturally fluent ministry. Yet current pathways to develop leaders are insufficient and often inaccessible, especially for under-resourced communities. While graduate theological education remains essential, it cannot meet these needs alone. More flexible, affordable pathways are needed to equip lay and bi-vocational leaders and create bridges into formal training. The Transformative Learning Collaborative addresses this gap by building a shared, cross-institutional ecosystem among PSR and four partners. It aligns boards and executive leaders around a common vision, equips faculty and denominational partners to co-create relevant learning experiences, and develops accessible non-credit credentials that maintain rigor while expanding reach – all leveraging a flexible, scalable Kwaray platform designed to meet learners where they are.
  • Project Area: Church vitality and equipping lay leaders | Competency-based models | Non-degree and continuing/lifelong learning | Spiritual direction and student formation | Technological intervention | Business model innovation | Engaging publics and contexts | Faculty development | Organizational partnerships and networks | Upskilling pastoral and ministerial leaders
  • Project Start Date: 25-Dec-01
  • Project End Date: 30-Dec-31
