  • Project Description: Our project examines the whole life cycle of the clergy – from call to continuing education. We want to enrich this ecology for the purpose of effective, faithful, even joyful ministry. This proposal is rooted in the collaboration of the eight institutions of theological education directly affiliated with the United Church of Canada, each with their own charisms. Our proposal is to renew the church in this time and in the places God has called us to serve with the whole of the gifted community. Our proposal has three major parts: (1) Creating a Culture of Discernment and Calling; (2) Preparing, Forming Pastoral Leaders and Testing of Call, and (3) Life-long Learning and Accountability with a special emphasis on pastoral leaders in their first five years of ministry or their first call.
