By registration; Development/communication professionals benefit from sharing best practices related to administration and management strategies, and legal issues in areas of institutional advancement. With the pivot to virtual experiences, ATS is pleased to offer this second gathering in a series of three learning experiences for development and communication officers during this year. Like the first event in February, this June gathering—also designed for both new and veteran development/communication personnel—focuses on new subtopics in the four key content areas of development work: the art of fundraising, the science of fundraising, communication, and leadership. In addition to a pre-event from 2-3 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 10, for first-timers/those new in their roles and optional mini sessions on Friday, June 11, regarding how to navigate Canvas, participants will be engaged in synchronous gatherings on Zoom and asynchronous learning in Canvas from Monday, June 14 through Thursday, June 17. On Friday, June 18, development/communication officers will join other school leaders in a webinar designed to explore how other units across the institution can play a pivotal role in the achievement of their schools' development/communication goals and objectives.

By registration; Development/communication professionals benefit from sharing learnings about their work related to the art and science of fundraising, communication, and leadership with one another.  But how might other leaders at the institution see themselves and their work as an important asset in this conversation? What opportunities exist for broadening the ecology of philanthropic thinking across the institution? In this webinar, designed to evoke conversations between development officers and other school leaders, three experienced development personnel offer valued guidance on how to include all leaders in the achievement of the institution’s vision for development. This webinar will serve as a closing to the June DIAP learning experience.
